We devoured it before I took a photo.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
6 Tbsp. rum
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
6 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and then crosswise in half
2/3 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
4 cups vanilla ice cream
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Once mixture starts to bubble, add bananas and toss gently until they are heated through. Scoop ice cream into bowls, arrange bananas around the ice cream and spoon the sauce over all. Serve warm.
